Asterix The Gaul Second Part

Asterix The Gaul second part
Astérix was really worried because Panpramix was taking a long time looking for some mistletoe. He told Obelix that he was sure that something went wrong. Even though Astérix had taken his potion a few hours ago, he went look for him.
Astérix realized that the romans had captured Panoramix and when Astérix went to their land, he was also trapped.
The romas made a deal with Astérix and Panoramix; if they show them the secret in the magic potion, they would let them free. The two gauls started making a plan, and instead of showing them the real potion, they taught them a fake one. All the romas drunk it, but the results of the potion was the growth of the hair. Their hair was growing and growing without stopping.

The roman’s were really angry with Astérix and Panoramix, but at the same time they wanted their old life back. They asked Astérix and Panoramix for the antidote, and they promise that as they watch the results, they would let them go. Panoramix accepted as soon as he heart that because the results of the potion wasn’t going to last forever.

The roman`s leader was lying about letting them free; he was really going to kill them as soon as he had the antidote.
Astérix and Panoramix went for the ingredients for the new potion, the antidote. They started preparing the potion, but they were really intelligent and they didn’t fall into the roman’s lies. They prepared two pots; the small one had the real gaul’s magic potion, and the biggest pot had the real antidote. Before showing the antidote to the romans they drank the magic potion to fight the romans if is necessary.
When astérix and Panoramix showed the potion to the romans, the roman leader ordered Astérix to try it firs. As soon as he tasted it and the romans verified that it wasn’t venom, they started going crazy for the antidote. When they finished the antidote. The roman’s leader ordered to catch Astérix and Panoramix and killed them; But they had already drank the gaul’s magic potion, so they were strong again.

When hey started to fight a lot of new roman forces arrived. They stopped the fight and Julius Cesar appeared. He called the roman leader that was in charge. When this leader told Julius Cesar that they were fighting against only two gauls and that the leader was trying to get the emperor sit, he was impressed.  Instantaneously he liberated the two gauls, Astérix and Panoramix, and exile this leader.

Astérix and Panoramix finally returned to his land, and all the gaul were really happy to see the. They all celebrated with a big portion of chiken and wine. They knew that with the intelligence and the strength they had, this victory wasn’t going to be the last one.

Julius Caesar; Republic to Emire

How does the Roman republic became an empire?
44 ac Julius Caesar was assassinated by a group of senators that he thought that were his friends. Julius Caesar was a person really intelligent and ambitious; He had a big ego, this gave Rome glory and disaster.

In 1 b.C Rome was a republic. Rome was really stable for 400 years; it was like an empire without emperor. It had senators, officials, laws, and at the top of their society was a group of people that, like in all hierarchies, wanted fame and glory. Romans were people who wanted power, they were ambitious, but this was like the motor that impulse Rome to the empire. Just to gain honor and prestige, the Romans built a very large city.

The balance the romance reached is impressive. They maintained Rome a lot of time without a leader for all Rome. This was incredible, but Rome was growing a lot very fast; this broke the balance. Julius Caesar little by little started to outstand from the other on the upper group. He knew that he could change the old laws and make a big change in Rome. Whit all his power and ability, he became the strongest dictator; he was practically the most powerful man in Rome. This made that people wanted to stop him; He became an objective.
When Rome had aristocracy, the last king they had was an tyrant, they made a group and a secret plan to exile him; Romans were afraid to be governed, once again, by only one man; Because of this they made a conspiracy against Julius Caesar. It was supposed that the conspiracy was going to be very silent. The betrayal had to be very well planned; but it went out of control and it was very bloody and wild.  Julius Caesar was assassinated on March 15 by 23 stabbings in the senate building.
With this conspiracy and assassination is how the Roman Empire starts.

Astérix the gaul. first part

Astérix the gaul is a movie from 18967. This movie us an animated film from belgin, france; it id based on the comic book with the same name “Astérix the gaul”. There are a lot of comic books about Astérix, but “Astérix the gaul” was the first one in this Astérix serie by Goscinny and Uderzo. This story goes a little bit like this:
ASTÉRIX THE GAUL first part
2000 years ago Julius Cesar, from Rome, came saw and conquer the land of the Gauls after a large fight. Cesar conquered a lot of Gaul, but he didn’t had all Gaul. There was a Little village that Cesar didn’t conquer. Here is where Astèrix, our gaul hero, appeared.
One day Astérix was going to hunt some animals, and in his way he run into some romans. He had all over control and he beat them. Astrix was very strong and intelligent. It wasn’t difficult for him to fight.
When the romans went to report that to his leader, he was really surprised to see how they were beaten by only 1 little Gaul. He was sure they have a secret behind this strength, agility and cunning.
Wile this was happening on the roman areas, Astrix was dealing with some things on his list of things to do. One of the most important tasks he had to do was to visit Panoramix. When Astrix and his friend, Obelix, Visited Panoramix he was cutting some mistletoes for his potions. Panoramix was a wizard that was in church of making the power potion. This potion was the responsible of Gaul’s abilities. Gauls could do anything thanks to this mistletoe potion.
Meanwhile the romans were discussing what to do whit this super strong gauls, and how to discover their secret; between all the discussions a voice said- we can send someone to spy over gauls. The leader accepts this idea, but they needed a volunteer. No roman wanted to go and spy gauls, they were afraid of them. The leader needed to choose between the romans, randomly.
When astérix and Obelix found out that the romans had a little goul as a prisoner(the roman impostor) they rescued him and took him to their village. He stared to spy in then and he realized that they were really strong. And that they don’t even used tools; instead of tools they used their own hands.
The roman impostor asked astérix and Obelix to tell him the secret. When astérix and Obelix gave him a little taste of the potion, he had the same strength the gauls had.

The gauls were having a great time, dancing and playing when the “little gaul” dropped his mustache. In that moment Astérix knew that he was a roman impostor. The “little gaul” already had the Gaul power, so the gauls couldn’t catch him.
When he arrived with the romans, he told the romans the Gaul’s secret, and showed them a demonstration. The romans were impressed with the results of this potion; they wanted to know the ingredients of the potion. The impostor didn’t knew the ingredients but he knew the wizard who is in church to make the potion.
The romans captured Panoramix; they wanted to know the ingredients of the potion. They tried everything to get him to revel the secret of the potion.

300 The Movie

The Sparta people had the tradition of putting some testing to Sparta babies to see if the child would serve as a good fighter. If this baby doesn’t passed this tests, the Spartans knew that this little baby was not going to be useful as a warrior and that he won't stand in a war. Knowing this baby wasn’t helpful for Sparta, they killed the baby, but if the baby passed all the testing, he is immediately trained to be a Spartan warrior. Spartan people wanted Sparta to be very strong.

This movie, 300, is about a boy named Leonidas. Since he was just a kid He was trained to be a warrior and fight for his people. When he was already an adult, he became King.

One of the Spartans enemies were the Persians, his King, in that time, was Xerxes. Persians wanted to conquer some Greek territory. To accomplish his goal he made an army, a big and strong army to face the Spartans. He brought together like 300 000 soldiers. He had people walking, going by land and people going in boats by sea.

The Sparta army was really little. He only gathered around 300 warriors. One of the things Sparta was really afraid of was the group of Persians that were in charge of the arrows. They knew this group was pretty strong.
The battle was hard and very wild. Persians crashed with Sparta’s spears, arrows and shields. They never gave up always giving a step front instead of going backwards.
The battle was lasting longer than they expected. Xerxes realized that Spartans were doing a great job; they were killing a lot of Persians. Xerxes decided to call the group of warriors that he has saved. They were really strong and trained warriors. Xerxes thought that with this group of Persians he had already won the fight. This warriors gave their all, but they couldn’t beat Spartans. When the fight was about to finish, they noticed that there was a traitor. This traitor was Ephialtes. Ephialtes taught the Persians a path. This path could carry the Persians with the Spartans without them noticing.
That’s why Persians were going through water and through land. When they found out that Ephialtes betrayed them, the battle took force and intensity again. This time Persians beat Sparta. But the pride that Persians had obtained was better.

The film is not as the real story. One of the things that it is true in the movie is the fight between Sparta, with Leonidas as leader; and Persia with the leader Xerxes. Another thing that is true in the movie is the traitor: Ephialtes . Ephialtes really betrayed Sparta by telling the Persians the road to get to the Spartans without them noticing. A thing that doesn’t matches is the number of warriors that the Sparta army counted with. In the movie they remark that there were only 300 Spartans on the army. It’s true, there were around 300 Spartan warriors on this army but they also counted with around 700 Thespians, 400 Thebans and maybe 100 more warriors.
We can say that this move has a true story, but not the WHOLE true story.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE MOVIE
