The Melk abbey
church is really special because it has one of the most amazing baroque-style
interiors in the entire world.
The tree most
famous things inside this church is the church interiors, the libary and tha
marble hall.
Some critics
say that the Melk abbey church decoration is excessively busy, even for a
baroque interior. But nobody can’t say that the round way is made isn’t
awesome. Is has beautiful frescos, paintings and statues, marble embellishments
and an awesome golden altar filling almost every wall and ceiling space.
At the library
colorful library houses holds over 80000 medieval volumes and other priceless
manuscripts.
The marble
hall is an abundantly marble room with magnificent ceiling frescos. This room
was used for receptions and audiences.
This church
started because leopoldo II gave the enormous castle to the Benedictines in
1089 and it became the melk abbey. Over the next five centuries, the monks
renovated it depending on their needs, from 1702 to 1736; they demolished and
completely rebuilt the church into the breathtaking church we see today.
