Melk Abbey, A Baroque-Style Church


The Melk abbey church is really special because it has one of the most amazing baroque-style interiors in the entire world.
The tree most famous things inside this church is the church interiors, the libary and tha marble hall.
Some critics say that the Melk abbey church decoration is excessively busy, even for a baroque interior. But nobody can’t say that the round way is made isn’t awesome. Is has beautiful frescos, paintings and statues, marble embellishments and an awesome golden altar filling almost every wall and ceiling space.
At the library colorful library houses holds over 80000 medieval volumes and other priceless manuscripts.
The marble hall is an abundantly marble room with magnificent ceiling frescos. This room was used for receptions and audiences.
This church started because leopoldo II gave the enormous castle to the Benedictines in 1089 and it became the melk abbey. Over the next five centuries, the monks renovated it depending on their needs, from 1702 to 1736; they demolished and completely rebuilt the church into the breathtaking church we see today.
