Alexander the great was born on Pella, Macedonia.

His parents were: King Philip II of Macedonia and queen Olympia; she was daughter of King Neoptolemus. Alexander the great and his sister were raised like Pella’s princes. His father was an excellent warrior. He spent most of his time on military campaigns, so Alexander and his sister grown practically without a father. His mother, the queen, was the one that raised and looked after them. He wasn’t that closet o his father, was his mother the one that was always by his side. Alexander was similar to his father only because they were kings and they were excellent military leaders, but the real role model of Alexander was his mother. He waned to be a hero just like Achilles . Alexander’s mother was always telling Alexander that he was going to do great things and that he had the same abilities Achilles had, she may told Alexander that he was descended from the gods. The queen Olympia, Alexander’s mother, was very ambitious and she waned to be sure that the next Macedonia king was going to be his son, Alexander. She was prepared to do what ever it takes to make his son king.
The first education Alexander had was from a tutor, Leonidas. He had
been hired by the king Phillip to teach Alexander math, horsemanship and
archery. Leonidas had a hard time with Alexander because he didn’t have a good
behavior. His next tutor was Lysimachus who used a lot of drawings, colors and
games to capture his attention. Years later Philip, his dad, hired a new tutor,
Aristotle. Aristotle taught Alexander philosophy, poetry, drama, science and
politics. He was liked a lot the Homer’s Iliad. It was very attractive to him.
This inspired Alexander to be a heroic warrior. Aristotle practically made Alexander’s
bases.
Alexander completed his studies; And a year later, still being a teen,
he became a soldier and started his first military expedition Vs. the
Thracians.
